It’s an actor’s life for me says ‘gruff’ Nick

Nick Cornwall (Dagron) has been interviewed for a local paper.  Here’s a snippet but follow the link for the full article. It’s the best job in the world says Nick who describes himself as a ‘modest actor’ born and bred in Blackpool. Ren’s leading lady Sophie Skelton joins the cast of Outlander

We are incredibly excited to pass on the news that our very own Ren, Sophie Skelton, has been cast in the major role of Brianna in the Starz time-travel drama Outlander. Starz made the announcement yesterday and Sophie’s casting ends months of heated speculation about who would play the pivotal role of Claire Randall’s daughter in season two, with big names like Karen Gillan (Doctor Who), Amber Skye Noyes (Beauty and the Beast) and Jane Levy (Suburgatory) all floated. Sophie has already dyed her hair red to match that of her onscreen father, as you can see in the official Outlander publicity pic above. The character of Brianna, a.k.a. Bree, is described as “strong-minded and intelligent beyond her years (traits inherited from both her mother and father)”, not so different from Ren! We won’t give away any spoilers for those of you who haven’t read Diana Gabaldon’s books, but suffice to say that Bree is an integral part of the Outlander story. The Ren team is so proud of Sophie.  We’ve known for quite a while what a star she is and now many more people will become aware of the wonderful talent she is. You’ll be seeing Sophie very soon in Ren: The Girl with the Mark (pictured right in a publicity shot by Alex Beckett) – watch this space for a big announcement – but for season two of Outlander you’ll have to wait until the spring. In the meantime, here’s the teaser trailer…      ...
